Travel
South Seas Resort is located approximately an hour from Southwest Florida
International Airport, RSW. Most major airlines fly direct into RSW (Southwest,
American Airlines, etc.).
We recommend: Flying into Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW)
Thursday. This allows time to enjoy the resort amenities Friday prior to the
welcome party.
- From the airport: RSW is an hour to South Seas Resort. While Uber is available
in Fort Myers, it is not as prevalent on the island and may be difficult to
guarantee a ride back for your departure flight.
- At the resort you will have access to the complimentary trolley system. This will
allow you to easily get around the resort and close to the main eateries of
Captiva.
- Bikes and golf carts are also available through the resort at an additional cost,
the island is very laid back and golf cart, walker, and biker friendly.
- We recommend: Renting a car at RSW (and split when possible) and utilizing
the trolley, golf carts or bikes when you arrive at South Seas.

Getting There
Getting Around
*Please be mindful that Captiva is an island with old-school coastal charm and small, family-owned businesses. With that being said, we highly recommend making any necessary stops to shop before getting on the island (the only commercial store on the island is a CVS ~30 minutes from the resort). There is a Publix and various other shops just before getting onto the bridge to the island: Sanibel Beach Place Shops (20321 Summerlin Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33908).
